Yin yoga creates a gentle traction and compression that helps to flush out toxins and lubricate joints while releasing tension from the surrounding connective tissues. Working along the meridian lines of the body that connect our energy pathways for all our tissues and cells creating 12 channels throughout the body. Each are connected but can get blocked causing energy to stay stagnant within. Yin yoga can help the body and mind to relax and release tension mentally, emotionally and physically, unblocking the channels of energy that help the body function. Yoga Nidra is a state of conscious deep sleep. During meditation, you remain in the waking state of consciousness and gently focus the mind, allowing thought patterns, emotions, sensations, and images to arise. In Yoga Nidra, you leave the waking state, go past the dreaming state, and go to deep sleep, while remaining awake.
